ULFA-I in an email statement has claimed that it was an attack conducted by them and claimed that many personnel of Assam Rifles were injured and a number of their vehicles were harmed during the attack

The email also claimed that the injured Assam Rifles personnel were airlifted for treatment immediately after the ambush.
