Arunachal:  IRBn personnel shot dead by colleague at Rajiv Gandhi University

Itanagar: An India Hold Contingent (IRBn) jawan was killed on Friday night after his partner opened at him at Doimukh close to Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh, police said on Saturday.

The IRBn jawans were conveyed at Rajiv Gandhi College (RGU) in Doimukh.

Wangru Taidong, head constable of second IRBn Diyun, discharged two rounds with his administration rifle at Constable Chingri Momai, following a warmed contention on Friday night around 9.30m pm, Doimukh police headquarters official in-control Inya Ete said.

He said Momai was hurried to the Tomo Riba Foundation of Wellbeing and Clinical Sciences (TRIHMS) at Naharlagun, where he was pronounced brought dead by specialists.

“We are researching the thought process behind the shooting,” Ete said.

He said that a police group visited the site and held onto the weapon alongside two void cases and 28 live adjusts.

The body of the departed has been kept at the morgue of the RKM Medical clinic in Itanagar, he said.

He said an examination and posthumous will be led.

A case under Segment 302 IPC (murder) has been enrolled in this association with the episode.

Further examination is in progress, the police official said.
