Kohima: The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) on Tuesday held a public convention in six regions to request the formation of a different province of ‘Outskirts Nagaland’.

ENPO is the zenith collection of seven ancestral associations in Mon, Tuensang, Kiphire, Longleng, Noklak and Shamator areas and Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Headquarter, Kiusam in Shamator locale.

The ENPO began requesting ‘Outskirts Nagaland’ in 2010 deploring that their region has been abandoned in all parts of improvement, including schooling and foundation.

The six areas under ENPO have 20 lawmakers.

The public convention what began at around 10 am in all ancestral central command finished ‘calmly’ with the participation of the particular ancestral associations, ENPO general secretary Manpang Phom told PTI.

During the convention hours, all business foundations, instructive establishments and workplaces stayed shut in fortitude with the ENPO’s interest for a different state.

The convention saw the support of all matured individuals in their particular customary clothing with standards and notices requesting a different state.
