All you can see is the empty roads and stages set by the Indian government and it looks like the people of North East, especially in Manipur and Nagaland, has no interest to celebrate Indian republic day.

On another hand, we can say that the people of north East especially Manipur and Nagaland have followed the narrative of their freedom fighting independent organizations like NSCN-IM or PLA which claim Manipur and Nagaland are entirely separate countries on their own and not part of integral Indian since a long time.
