Why whole Manipur is shutdown?

Typical life severly upset in various pieces of Manipur. Contradicting ‘constrained consolidation’ with India, the agitator bunches had required the bandh.

Normal life came to a standstill owing to the shutdown called by different freedom fighter groups. The shutdown has been called opposing ‘forced merger’ of Manipur into India on this very day in 1949 by Indian government illegally.

The streets wore deserted look while business establishments downed their shutters. Banks, as well as educational institutes too remained shut.
